Tropical Storm Dindo has officially exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of Monday morning, according to the latest bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). At 11 a.m., PAGASA reported that Dindo was located approximately 670 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes. The storm is currently characterized by maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near its center, with gusts reaching up to 80 kilometers per hour. Notably, Dindo is moving slowly in a northeastward direction.
PAGASA has further indicated that Dindo is not expected to have a direct impact on the weather conditions within the country during the forecast period. However, in conjunction with the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, Dindo is anticipated to result in moderate seas with waves of up to 2.0 meters over the coastal waters of Extreme Northern Luzon. Mariners operating motor bancas and similarly sized vessels have been advised by PAGASA to exercise caution when venturing out to sea. If possible, they are encouraged to avoid navigating in these conditions, particularly if they are inexperienced or if their vessels are not adequately equipped.
According to PAGASA's forecast, Dindo is expected to continue its movement over the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea, ultimately heading towards the Korean Peninsula over the next three days. PAGASA also mentioned that Dindo is likely to maintain its status as a tropical storm within the forecast period.
